Martin Musílek is a historian working in the National Gallery Prague as Director of Science and Research. From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a specialist collaborator and curator in the State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz. His focus lies in the economic and social history of medieval Czech towns, the history of Prague, and the history of the nobility and the Hussite movement. Since 2011, he’s been an external collaborator on the project titled “Medieval Ashkenaz. Corpus der Quellen zur Geschichte der Juden im spätmittelalterlichen Reich“ in the University of Trier. Dr Musílek has authored several expert publications, studies, and exhibitions (an overview of his publishing activity). He has been a long-term external lecturer at universities in Prague and Brno.
