Antonín Chittussi, Through Field and Forest

The cabinet presents a set of drawings by the unparalleled Czech landscape painter Antonín Chittussi. The cycle of twelve charcoal drawings was created around 1887 and captures the landscape with remarkable sensitivity and subtlety, revealing the artist’s Barbizon experience.
