Prints by the celebrated English painter, one of the founders of modern landscape painting, represent a lesser-known aspect of his work. Created between 1806 and 182, these natural scenes rendered in the techniques of etching and mezzotint show the artist’s various concepts of the landscape – from traditionally composed views to strikingly modern interpretations.
